The station is based on a standard 6127N inverter welding machine manufactured by TECNA with a power of 160 kVA (P = 50%). The welding machine is equipped with a replaceable device for projection welding of nuts to steel brackets. On the bottom plate of the device there are pins that support the bracket and the nut. Fiber optic sensors are placed under the pins to check the correct arrangement of the details before welding.
The welding machine and the device are controlled by a master Siemens PLC controller and a TE700 microprocessor controller for welding parameters. The operator’s safety is ensured by a cage made of aluminum profiles, polycarbonate screens and a front optical curtain.
